THIS PLACE SUCKS.

Hello!

After my warmed up mermaid a few days ago, I'm comin' round with a
brand new work with an apocalyptic taste.

When I began with the drawing I had no idea what it would be in the end
but after 30 minutes of sketching the slime I had a vague vision of a tree
and a mushroom. I really love the slime in GHOSTBUSTER 2 so the movie
can be seen as an influence for this. And maybe it will be a mushroomcalypse
that's going to fuck us at the end of the year.  I don't know where mushroom-
trees live and why they should come to earth and eat us, but sometimes things
simply happen. So, enjoy your last days with eating champignons!

I'D RATHER SWIM ALL ALONE.

Good evening!

My favorite hobby last year was drawing mermaids. I did the artwork
for the first LP "Mermaid Parasites" of my band THE.SPINES.
For that I did a couple of mermaid drawings from tiny beauties to ugly
zombie-freaks (the usual spectrum of my interests).
And here's an alternative mermaid which wasn't used in the artwork.
After half a year under my desk I added some colours to get a creamy
underwater-feeling. The picture is a definitive homage to my last
summer-hit which you can find here:

Ah, the record will come out in March, so stay alert!

THE DEADLY RYTHM.

Hey Everyone!

When I draw pictures, I mostly don't know what's comming out at the tail
of the dinosaur. It's a pretty exiting on-the-fly process. After a short time I
have a rough silhouette of what it's going to be and after that I start with
the details. Often, they grow more and more and sometimes I'm on the edge
of losing myself in minutiae-mayhem. But when the analog drawing is
finished (and after a night allowing me to sort my tangled mind) I'm
beginning with the digital colour-concept. I try to focus on a few image-
supportive colours to bring my creatures to a sweet and virulent life and
sometimes, I put a selfmade paper-texture over them. And voilà, it's finished.

This picture is the perfect example for my personal, just descibed process
of creation. I've been in our rehearsal-room and got bored, so I picked up
my biro and started to boogie the paper. First, it seemed to become a hippo
but hippos ain't punkrock so I adjusted the paper's fate which turned into a
rabbit when I added the ear(s). Then I thougt about the white rabbit, the black
rabbit, the killer rabbit... and suddenly, when I started with the colours, ice cream,
BLINK 182 and Californian emo-kids whirred around in my head. And finally
there's a result that's telling you:

Don't eat meat! There are too much eyes in it, which may cause awful
explosions of your body! Just as with that foolish emo-rabbit.

The title is taken from the same-named und fucking furious song from
REFUSED, which are going to play some shows in 2012 (yeah!).
Hope you have nightmares!

Cheers! Robert

IT'S MY PARTY AND I'LL CRY IF I WANT TO.

Good Evening!

The new year's going on and I'm actually giving you a new piece of my
Zombiecalypse-Prevention-Program. This one's made in the last weeks of 2011
in and in front of the rehearsal-room of my band while I used to wait for my
band-mates. I hate waiting and so I did something "useful", otherwise I would've
had to drink beer.
The process of production is classic - biro-drawing and digital colours but I
left out a paper-texture this time for better focus on the character. And if you
ever have to face an unleashed army of zombies, print this image (if you have
electricity) and simply show it to them and see what's going to happen.

By the way, I'm not sorry for the title of the post. Just had this song in my head
when I had to save & name this picture. Don't ask me why.

Cheers, Robert

FLYING CHEESE.

Folks!

Welcome in 2012, the year we all will die. Hope you've had peaceful Holidays
and got fat by guzzling too much of everything on your traditional Cristmas-
Family-Terror.
But until we die, i want to bring you some visual stuff, that will prepare you
for the Apocalypse. This one's called FLYING CHEESE. It's a biro-drawing
with Photoshop-Colours and a biblical Texture found in my board. It's been
created on Sunday evening and the last two mornings. Totally cheesy.

Cheers (and an apocalyptic 2012), Robert
