Hey folks.
Today I present you a new picture which can be seen with reference to the recent NSA-affair. Mostly done with a biro on my way to Frankfurt where I visited this year's book fair. For the title I've chosen another great song by MOGWAI (I've not seen the video).

JOURNEY TO THE ISLAND.
Hey folks!
Today, I give you a small prehistoric landscape, which was created on my last month. I started very fast with the dinosaur, but the surrounding took its time cuz of not enough time. I just managed some lines and then there was some other important shit to do... c'est la vie! Yesterday I could add some calm color scheme and decided to leave the dinosaur white. I'm not sure about the latest state of the art, but I guess the paleontologists assume that dinsoaurs had feathers. So, please don't see this picture as an absolut overcorrect prehistoric study.
Listen to this!

UNTITLED.
Good evening!
Here's another accidental drawing out of a bored mood. I had the idea of that very big mouth, so I made it with relative loose lines and just added some "rest" around. Now the result's a scary meat lump that's shaped like a horror rattle. Have fun with it!
Cheers, Robert

SUPER RAD.
All systems go!
Here's a picture I made on my trip to Mallorca in September, created on the wonderfully crowded beach of Can Picafort. If you find some sand grains under the digital light, write me an e-mail. I'll give you the money back... However, enjoy this last gasp of this year's summer.
The title's by the nice and friendly AQUABATS (alternatively listen to this).

Yeehaw!
I defenitely had too much pizza this evening but life ain't easy...
Here you get a picture i drew in my holidays. I simply tried to rougher shape of my shading technique.
Ah, the title's another fantastic song by the great MÚM.

I KNOW YOU ARE BUT WHAT AM I?
Yo buddies!
This time I give you a more elaborate one. I started this picture some weeks ago and did some lines whenever I could (lunch break, rehearsal, couch, bed, car). Two weeks ago I finished it but a holiday trip hindered an earlier release...
However, first there was the creature with a focus on a highly detailed body and after I managed it I thought "Hm, would be nice if there was a city skyline in the back" and so i made a quick sketch of how the city could look like and started with these fine detailed sci-fi-megapolis-mayhem. That was totally fun! Everything's done with two black biros. The picture is digital colored but uncorrected for the rest.

SAME OLD SHIT.
Brothers and Sisters!
It's been a while since my last post but sometimes there is some other stuff to do. For example: driving with my band mates to a show. And which things would be a better for wasting the time than beer, pen and paper? Somewhere on the autobahn I did a fast drawing with the things I love about people. Tired, pupilless eyes, cigarettes, missing limbs and Tim Burton hair. If I could I would draw pictures like this a thousand times!
Cheers, Robert

WORK IN PROGRESS.
Hey!
I wasted my lunch time the last week with doing a new drawing. As you might see I was a little stuck in wrinkles. And I guess, I've never told you, but HANDS are pretty difficult to draw. Especially when you use an incorrectable medium like a biro. In the end I got it somehow and now I'm totally thrilled to create the background. Today, I did a sketch of the city skyline which will hopefully be done the next days. Or maybe this evening... but now I have to visit the gym. My back feels like it's 200 year old wood.

SKETCH-O-RAMA #1
Folks!
Even though I didn't post some shit over the last weeks, I'm not a lazy TV junk. I'm actually working on some larger projects which means that it will take some time until I can give you some finished work.
But here's some recent stuff from my sketchbook; maybe I will talk about some of these projects later.
Cheers, Robert

COMMISSIONAL WORK.
Hey there,
for those of you, who don't know, I'm keeping a regular job in an engineering company to get my bills payed. There I'm doing a lot of "conventional" design work (layouts, screendesign, pixel graphics...) but the recent project is a really interesting one. For this years trade fair I was put in charge to create all visuals for an animated infographic. There are already existing infographics done by me, so only the narrative elements have to be created. Below you see the concept of the two main characters, they're done with biro an digital color. The most difficult thing for me is to keep the drawings positive. If you've seen some of my other stuff you will agree. But it's quite cool to do shit like this! Feels like I'm 14 again!
