SILVERFUCK.

Voilà!
I give you a new piece which is named after that fantastic song by
SMASHING PUMPKINS. Simply drawn with my biro from work
whilst our rehearsal on friday and fast colored on sunday you find
here vivid lights on a pale body.
Oh, and there's a fucking great song called "21st Century, Where
Can I Get A Fuckable Little Grungette?" by the Norwegian Stoner
Band THULSA DOOM. Check it out!

Cheers, Robert

BURN BABY BURN.

Waaaaah!
Is anyone knowing Irish Rock Band ASH? Their great "1977" record
from 1996 includes some of my favorite all time classics like "Lose control",
"Darkside/Lightside", their huge Hit "Girl from Mars" and even the funny
hidden track "Sick Party". If you ever wanted to listen to a Teenager puking
competition, you'll find it on that record. My picture illustrates the song
"Burn Baby Burn" from ASH's 2000 record "Free All Angels". The song
was a single, I don't really like the title and the shitty video - it's lamer than
lame! But I'm totally in love with these emo-lyrics like:

Look into my tired eyes
See someone you don't recognize
Binds that can't be untied
Oh yeah, this is slow suicide

I always have these words on my lips when I'm on my knees (especially
on hard mornings at work). And so I decided to pay tribute to this pretty
depressed song. It's done with graphite and a conceptual color scheme
(check out the determination below). I hope, this picture will burn
your eyes out!

Cheers, Robert

HOME.

Hey!
My blog is actually getting fucked by a bot. He's wasting all my sensible
statistics but I think he really loves my stuff. In the meantime he's
"Visitor of the month" and maybe I should give him a name... something
like "Giftmüllscheisse". So, thank you Giftmüllscheisse for reading my posts!

My latest post is a contribution for a sketchbook campaign by the German
Illustrator's Organization. With the character of these silly chain letters we
had when we were young, a sketchbook was sent to every illustrator who
was interested in a contribution. I never passed these awful chain letters on
but I did with the sketchbook. Maybe I'm grown up now or these letters
were really unfunny boring shit...
Well, the theme of this sketchbook was "Home". I received the book with
a delay of nearly 15 weeks one day before my vacation week in the
Netherlands began. So I drew this picture in my "holiday stress" far away
from home in a business hotel nearby the North Sea. The drawing itself is
fast and chubby  with biro and watercolor. This image is only photographed
because the hotel only had a copier from the stone age (see black and white
picture below) with an ultra-horrible scan quality!
For this picture you can listen to the Song "Home" from one of my favorite
British Bands FEEDER. The sketchbook can be seen on the book fair in
Frankfurt/Main this October.

Rock on, Robert

YUCK FOO & LAUDATUSSI.

Good Morning!

Whenever I get bored of waiting for my bandmates, I use to draw. I usually
wait for my bandmates, so I usually use to draw. This time I had no paper
and no other chance than beautifying the selfmade release-show-poster of
Wuppertal's local bands MR. THROWASTONE and SOMA. Hope, they
don't kill me, haha! Next rehearsal's today, I'm exited to see what my hands
will bring to the paper - own or foreign, doesn't matter.

Cheers, Robert

ALL ALONE IN AN EMPTY HOUSE.

Yo!

Here's a small one. It's a birthday card for a family member done with biro
and watercolor. And no, the person didn't turn three ;)

If you want, you can watch the video from LOST IN THE TREES where
the title's borrowed from.

FESTIVAL.

Good evening!
Past weekend, I met some of my designer friends in Munich where one of them
is actually living. We had couch-pogo with the RAMONES, denied to dance to
the SPICE GIRLS and HANSON in some shitty douchebag-club and had a massive
consume of local beer with David Hasselhoff. This picture's dedicated to all the rain
that ruled this weekend.
The title`s stolen from SIGUR RÓS.

Cheers, Robert

PISS VIRUS.

Hello everyone!

While I'm writing this, I'm listening to THE STATIC AGE. Check them out,
they are fantastic!
The end of the year is getting closer and we all get closer to the edge. Despite
somebody found an older (and more extending) Mayan calendar than that
one ending in december, we should believe, we're all dying soon. Well, in
cosmic dimensions we can name it "soon" and in cosmic dimensions it's
irrelevant if some tiny meat-lumps on some rock in space disappear. And
I think, people are really, really glad to get struck down by a force they can't
fathom. Imagine, we all could get totally fucked by war and ecocide! People
wouldn't understand...
So, listen to AMENs kick-ass statement and enjoy the picture. It's a graphite
drawing out of my sketchbook with pretty much digital light. And be sure,
you will die!

Cheers, Robert

DEATH KNOWS YOUR NAME.

And another one. This one's a tiny sketch named after a great record by
HOPE CONSPIRACY. Enjoy!

A FUTURE GONE FISHING.

Hell-Oh!

Some months ago, one chicken and all of our fishes (except one) have died!
While the fishes died through moving from a well rotten aquarium to hyper-sterile
water-site, the chicken's death will always be covered by mystery...
And fuck it! The song, where the title's stolen from is NOT to find on the internet,
hahaha! It one of the best from these Swedish Trash-Rap-Core-Guys from
PSYCORE - pretty 90's!

Cheers, Robert

ANGRY TREE.

I used to spend my time thinking I'll be fine...

I remember the first time I listened to LIFE OF AGONY knowingly. It was
back in 2002 I think, when I found a well ruined copy of their album
"Soul Searching Sun" deep in the bottom shelf of a rack in my friend Tobi's
room. As I asked Tobi what the record's like and he told that even his
grandma would love it. So, I took it home and let it on heavy rotation the
whole summer. And there was the song called "Angry Tree", a song with
a simple offbeat theme that explodes into a fantastic Alternative-Song after
the bridge (including a pretty cheap guitar-solo, haha).
My accidentally tribute to this song is my new picture. And fuck it, I had
lots of troubles with the colours, I tried different shitty hippie-schemes and
a very (very very very) ugly 90's-horror-movie-look before I got the final
and pretty exiting colors! It was real great fun to draw all that washed out
red! See the bird, he's my new friend, haha! Enjoy!

Cheers, Robert
